The story of two climbing teams attempting the Eiger in 1936. The film shows two worlds colliding – the “city” upper class and the “common” folk. Brilliantly depicted real life heroism and the tragedy/triumph that people (media?) seek and exploit for publicity, money and self-serving control hunger. An un-crossable divide?
